ACTORS WHO TRAIN ACTORS
Having trained at Trent Park and Ravensbourne, my background in film and sound recording has included working in broadcast, the independent film and sound sectors, training, theatre and lastly designing and managing Overtones Studios in Central London.
It has been a huge challenge and pleasure to work with many high profile artists and companies as well as aspiring newcomers to the creative industries.
However, I've often found myself saddened that remarkable and inspiring performances have all too often been abandoned or lost to methodology and technical process. It's rare to witness truthful, imaginative, unrestrictive performance in an industry where format and control are put above the connection between actors, musicians, technicians and audience.
I believe that with such varied and diverse experience in camera, sound and editing I bring a solid, wide-ranging skills base that offers flexibility and difference. As importantly, I bring passion and enthusiasm to finding high quality affordable, innovative ways of filming ‘Meisner’ style performance, that is responsive to what is in front of the camera rather than being contained by method from behind it.
